SUMMER CAMP 2025: Registration Opens March 5th!!

We are excited to offer 14 weeks of nature summer camps where nature will be our leader and guide as we explore the wild world around us! Each day our scouts will get to explore the natural environment around them to create nature process art, build forts/shelters, do nature scavenger hunts, play forest school games, and so much more!

We will be offering different locations in Encinitas, Carlsbad and Oceanside. All camps will be three days, (Tu/W/Th) and camp hours will be 10am-3pm. We will also have a one day/week option on Fridays for those seeking an ongoing camp each month in June, July and August.

COST (per camp session): $315 (1st sibling gets a 10% discount, any additional siblings 5% discount)

DEPOSIT: A $100 non-refundable deposit per camp session is due at time of registration. This deposit holds your space and helps cover the cost of enrolling your child and preparing for camps, supplies, materials and teachers needed for each camp session. The balance for all camp session(s) will be due by May 1. You are always welcome to pay in full as an alternative.

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY: You are entitled to a refund minus the $100 non-refundable deposit per camp session if you choose to cancel before May 1. A refund/credit is NOT available if a cancellation is made after May 1.

If you would like to switch your camp week to another week, we will need a written request sent to: info@littlescoutsnatureclasses.com, and we will do our best to accommodate your request, although we can not guarantee there will be a spot available.

There will be NO makeups/refunds for any missed camp days due to illness, travel, etc. Refunds will ONLY be given for camp days that are canceled by Little Scouts. If we need to cancel in the event of severe weather, extreme heat, or other unforeseen issues, a 50% refund will be issued for the canceled camp day. The remaining 50% will go to our teachers and other fixed costs.

   

SUMMER CAMP THEMES 2025: 

Camp 1: Feathered Friends (June 10-12 in Carlsbad)

Flap, flutter, and soar into a week of feathery fun! From tiny hummingbirds to mysterious owls, campers will become honorary ornithologists (that’s a fancy word for bird scientists!) and uncover the secrets of the sky. We’ll learn how birds sing, hunt, and glide and discover what makes them so unique. So spread your wings and get ready for an egg-citing adventure!

Camp 2: Fairies & Friends in the Forest (Fridays in June: 13, 20, 27 in Encinitas)

Step into a magical forest where fairies, elves, and gnomes come to life! In this camp, we’ll explore the enchanted eucalyptus grove, build fairy homes, and discover the secrets of herb fairies and their mystical powers. We’ll even whip up some herbal remedies to take home, just like the fairies do! Get ready for a week filled with magic, creativity, and woodland wonders—this adventure is bound to be fairy-tale perfect!

Camp 3: Going Green (June 17-19 in Carlsbad)

Get ready to dig in, create, and go green! At this hands-on camp, we’ll become homesteaders and Earth heroes by mastering the 3 R’s—reduce, reuse, recycle! From turning everyday items into awesome art to using nature’s treasures for cool science experiments, we’ll learn how to work with what we have and take care of our planet in the process. So grab your creativity (and maybe a little dirt), because this camp is all about fun, sustainability, and discovering the magic in the world around us!

Camp 4: Surviving in a Mythical World (June 24-26 in Carlsbad)

Do you have what it takes to survive in a land of magic and mystery? In this camp, we’ll learn the skills every hero needs to thrive in a world filled with dragons, enchanted forests, and hidden treasures! From crafting legendary tools to decoding ancient maps, campers will train like true adventurers and embark on thrilling quests. Get ready to outwit magical creatures, build epic shelters, and uncover the secrets of mythical survival!

Camp 5: Sizzling Scientists (July 8-10 in Oceanside)

Get ready to bubble, fizz, and blast off into a world of wild science fun! In this hands-on camp, we’ll become real scientists, using the scientific method to make volcanoes erupt, rockets soar, and Pop Rocks pop! But that’s not all! We’ll also splash into nature, searching for tadpoles, crayfish, and baby dragonflies, plus cool off with water relays and field games! The messier, the better—because at Sizzling Scientists, science is meant to be a blast!

Camp 6: Water Wonders (Fridays in July: 11, 18, 25 in Carlsbad)

Get ready to dive headfirst into the world of water! At this camp, we’ll explore where water goes, who lives in it, and why it’s so amazing! From wetlands to oceans, we’ll uncover the secrets of aquatic habitats and the clever ways water creatures adapt. Plus, we’ll dive into the science of water, learning all about water’s amazing properties. This camp wouldn’t be complete without some water play, including zero-waste reusable water balloon battles! Science has never been this soaking wet and wildly fun.

Camp 7: Ultimate Survivor (July 15-17 in Carlsbad)

During this camp we will become the ultimate survivors in the wild as we participate in games, team challenges and scavenger hunts, while learning important wilderness and survival skills along the way. Preparing shelters, primitive fire making, orienteering, making tools, finding wild foods, making first aid kits and playing fun outdoor games are a few examples of how campers will build their outdoor survival skills.

Camp 8: Camping Adventures (July 22-24 in Carlsbad)

Grab your gear and get ready for a camping adventure like no other! We’ll build forts and shelters, learn how to make campfires and solar ovens, and sing our hearts out with classic camp songs! As the “fire” glows, we’ll become master storytellers, spinning epic tales under the “stars.” Whether we’re crafting, exploring, or sharing stories, this camp is all about outdoor fun, creativity, and a little bit of campfire magic!

Camp 9: A Bug’s Life (July 29-31 in Oceanside)

Shrink down to bug size and step into a miniature world of adventure! We’ll become nature detectives, spotting animal tracks and discovering the creepy, crawly, and totally cool creatures that live near the creek. Campers will build bug habitats, create mini terrariums, and get up close with the fascinating world of insects. So grab your magnifying glass and get ready to explore, discover, and bug out!

Camp 10: Cooking Around the World (Fridays in August: 1, 8, 15 in Carlsbad)

Pack your taste buds and get ready for a delicious journey around the globe! In this camp, we will whip up mouth-watering dishes from all corners of the world, from spicy tacos to tasty sushi! It’s all about exploring new flavors, fun cooking techniques, learning about different cultures and maybe even dancing to some international tunes while we cook. Get ready to savor the world one bite at a time! 

Camp 11: Through the Lens: Nature Photography (ages 7-12) (August 5-7 in Encinitas)

Get ready to see the world through a whole new lens! This week, campers will become nature photographers, capturing the beauty of landscapes, wildlife, and tiny wonders all around them. From majestic mountains to fluttering butterflies, every snapshot tells a story. Campers will learn how to frame the perfect shot, play with light, and unleash their creativity while exploring the great outdoors. So grab your camera and get ready to snap, click, and capture the magic of nature!

**Your child will need to bring some type of camera (digital, point and shoot, instant, smartphone, etc)

Camp 12: Artists in Nature (August 5-7 in Carlsbad)

Get ready to transform nature into art! At this camp, campers will gather recycled materials and natural treasures to create everything from beautiful mandalas to suncatchers, mobiles, and more! Along the way, we’ll explore how other artists use nature as their inspiration, and then get busy making our own masterpieces! Whether it’s weaving leaves or crafting with pinecones, this camp is all about creativity, nature, and the magic of art!

Camp 13: Nature Detectives (August 12-14 in Carlsbad)

Put on your detective hats and get ready for a wild adventure! Campers will stroll through the eucalyptus grove, tracking down animal prints, searching for signs of creatures in the wild, and decoding the secret messages animals leave behind. We’ll examine real animal artifacts and uncover the cool adaptations that help local wildlife catch prey and dodge danger. Whether it’s tracking, observing, or learning about animal superpowers, this camp is wildly fun and full of discovery!

Camp 14: Under the Sea (August 19-21 in Encinitas)

Make a splash into the wonders of ocean life and dive deep into the magic of marine ecosystems! Our hands-on activities will turn you into a real ocean scientist, learn how to identify mysterious sea critters, conduct cool experiments, and even help protect our oceans with fun conservation projects. With games, beach scavenger hunts, and plenty of splashing around, this is the ultimate camp for kids who love the sea!
